Ratliff and Reisbeck
A Team Approach to Real Estate
Jeff Reisbeck is a true Italian, strong and passionate about everything he does. As team leader of Ratliff and Reisbeck, his philosophy when it comes to selling houses is simple, to always keep in mind the client’s best interests. Jeff works tirelessly around the clock to attain the best price possible for his buyers and sellers. He explains, “It is very important to me to know that my clients are happy with the financial aspects of their transaction, ensuring repeat business and referrals for years to come.”
With this mantra in mind, he leads the Ratliff and Reisbeck team with integrity and drive. Jeff develops aggressive marketing plans to provide every seller with a competitive offer within the first 30 days of the listing. He specializes in working with home and city inspectors and has developed a unique ability to negotiate repair issues to the satisfaction of both the buyer and the seller. His dedication to his clients means that he is reachable anytime, anywhere. Jeff feels that “The job doesn’t sleep so why should your agents?”.
Jeff is first to admit that he is a family man through and through. It was in the stars for the Ratliff and Reisbeck team when Jeff’s close friend and now wife, Melissa, suggested he get involved in the real estate industry and within months he had his license and was working with a top national firm. Jeff now leads the Ratliff and Reisbeck team along with his wife Melissa and mother-in-law Susan Ratliff. The team is built like a close knit family, with multiple full time agents available at any point throughout a transaction, dedicated to providing clients with not just a beautiful home but a lifestyle. With all of the work he puts in for the Ratliff and Reisbeck team, it’s a wonder that Jeff manages to still find time for other pursuits. Jeff manages and plays on a successful adult amateur baseball team which has seen playing time in multiple major league and college stadiums. He also volunteers a week of his time every year to serve as the head director at Camp Fox, a Glendale YMCA summer camp on Catalina Island. Jeff and Melissa reside in Monrovia with their three beautiful young children (Bella, Matt & Charlee) and two dogs (Madison & Finn).
Growing up with her mother, Susan Ratliff, in real estate, it became a natural field for Melissa to enter after college. In the beginning, Susan often marveled at how Melissa knew so much at such a young age. Melissa would respond “Mom, I’ve been listening to you negotiate deals in the carpool line for years!”. Now licensed for 12 years, Melissa oversees all our marketing efforts, taking design knowhow and combining it with the latest technology to gain maximum exposure for their listings.
When it comes to helping buyers find just the right home Melissa feels she is part Realtor and part Therapist, and loves every minute. Having lived in Pasadena all her life, she loves nothing more than taking a buyer out and really seeing what it is they are looking for in a home. “It is so much more than what a buyer will write down as ‘must haves‘ when they first start the searching process.” It takes an experienced and finessed agent to hold this delicate time together, giving them the knowledge to make the best buying decision possible.
Melissa believes strongly in the team concept of Ratliff and Reisbeck. “Each of us is able to focus on those abilities that we excel in, offering our clients the best representation possible.” By taking a whole team approach to our transactions, there is always someone available to take care of any issues. “It is first class service from beginning to end.”
Melissa is a Pasadena native and shares her intimate knowledge of the area with buyers to educate them about the neighborhoods, architecture, schools and cultural offerings of the San Gabriel Valley.
She attended Mayfield Junior School, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Rider University in New Jersey. She enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, running, and yoga. She is a Director with the Glendale YMCA and volunteers her time at Camp Fox each summer with their camp program. She resides in Monrovia with her husband Jeff, their three young children (Bella, Matt & Charlee) and two dogs (Madison & Finn).
Susan brings to Ratliff and Reisbeck over twenty years of real estate experience. Susan knows that in this business, one must be ready to expect anything and in this ever changing environment her constant ability to problem solve has proven to be an invaluable asset. She focuses on her client’s wants and needs when venturing into the hunt for their dream home and is familiar with inventory in all neighborhoods of the the San Gabriel Valley. Before joining the real estate industry, Susan had a successful career in both advertising and publishing. She brings these skills to her residential sales, ensuring all listings received a wide exposure to the market.
Susan’s community involvement has been extensive over the years.
